Obituary of Welsley Emerson MacDonald

MACDONALD, Welsley Emmerson "Well" Age 62, of Currys Corner, Hants Co., passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 10, 1954 in Windsor, he was a son of Phyllis Doreen MacDonald and the late Roland Roy MacDonald. Well enjoyed his Monday night guitar jammin' sessions with his Mom and brother, Roger. He was also an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and a faithful bingo player at the Legion on Sunday nights. Well retired in 2014 after working 42 years with Viking Fire Protection Ltd. as a sprinkler fitter. Well is survived by his partner of 27 years, Pam Caldwell; his daughters, Kelly (Eddie) Henshaw; Krista MacDonald; stepson, Ian (Charmaine) Caldwell; grandchildren, Aaron, Ashlyn, Amber, Monica, Isaac; step-grandchildren, Logan and Hunter; siblings, Clark MacDonald; Myles (Janet) MacDonald; Wanda Burns; Roger (Linda) MacDonald; Paulette (Brian) Moore; extended family, Paul and Lynn Caldwell; Wendell (Pat); Clay; Bonnie (Dana Swinamer) Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Well was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Jim Burns, Jeff, and Russell Caldwell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Demont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, August 2. A funeral service celebrating Well's life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. A private family interment will be held at the Ste. Croix Cemetery. Family flowers only by request.
