Obituary of Nathan Daniel William LeBlanc

LEBLANC, Nathan Daniel William Age four years and nine months, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, Monday, February 29, 2016. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Phillip and Janet (AuCoin) LeBlanc and big brother to Noah Charles Alexander. Nathan is also survived by paternal grandparents, Mark and Paula LeBlanc, Shediac, NB; maternal grandparents, Barry and Margaret AuCoin, Truro, NS; great-grandmothers, Florence LeBlanc, Shediac, NB and Elizabeth Borden, Halifax; aunts, Alyssa (Martin), Ottawa, ON; Isabelle, Shediac, NB and Jennifer (Steve), Indonesia; and cousin, Simon, Indonesia; as well as many other relatives. Nathan attended Windsor Day Care Centre for several years and was preparing to go to "big school" in September. The big brown eyes, charming smile, infectious laugh and warm hugs endeared him to all he met. Special thanks to the staff of the Windsor Day Care Centre, Valley Child Development Association Early Intervention, Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Centre - Speech and Language Pathology Division, Staff of Hants Community Hospital and the IWK who were very much a part of Nathan's family. Thank you also to the local EHS paramedics and RCMP officers for their kindness and compassion. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family graveside service for invited guests only will be held Friday, March 4 in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, Rev. Debra Mosher officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. At the family's request, anyone who is attending is asked to wear something purple in honour and memory of Nathan. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nathan may be made to Dravet.ca, 11 Johnson Crest, St. John's, NL A1B 2J3 or the Windsor Day Care Centre, PO Box 211, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
