Blair Earl Burke

BURKE, Blair Earl - We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of a dear husband, father and friend on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017. A long-time resident of the Mantua area, Blair was born on June 30th, 1960 in Windsor. Blair's working career was vast, which included a baker, a heavy equipment operator, a long-haul driver and most recently with the Town of Windsor. Blair loved spending the majority of his time outdoors with family and friends. You could find him tinkering in the yard, sea bass fishing or playing cards with his best buddies. One of Blair's favorite things was camping with the love of his life, Sue. They traveled many miles exploring Atlantic Canada, and most recently, experienced a meaningful trip to visit friends and family in Ontario. He had so many wonderful memories with his family and friends and was so proud of his grandchildren. Blair had a passion for the Boston Bruins, which was evident to all who knew him. Blair was predeceased by his grandparents, Earl and Vesta (Burke) and parents, Roger and Helen (Burke). He is survived by his wife, Susan (Burns); son, Nathan; stepson, Ryan Burns (Julie) and grandchildren, Hudson, Laney, Hugh, Halle and Lilia. In lieu of a funeral service, there will be a private Celebration of life on Sunday, October 15th.
